It is with pleasure that we introduce to you the newest members of the Peru Projects team. In preparation for the upcoming changes, God has prepared a Pilot/Mechanic and his wife to assist at our airbase in Peru. Chris and Amy Borcherding come from Minnesota, where for some time God has been preparing them to serve Him overseas.
Chris brings to our program flying experience, being rated as a commercial pilot both land and sea, as well as a strong aircraft maintenance background being an IA (Aircraft Inspector). Chris will be responsible for all of the maintenance needs around the base starting with the airplanes, but continuing down to all of the other devices that are needed to keep things moving here in Peru. We have already given him the nick name of Mr. Fix-It. He will also be assisting with the flying responsibilities.
Amy comes with her own set of talents. Besides taking good care of Chris, she has dug into the task of helping in the office in the area of book keeping. Her attention to detail qualifies her well for these duties. Rumor has it that she is also a professional mechanic, having worked beside Chris in a Bicycle shop for some 4 years.
God continues to provide the personnel that He needs here in Peru and we praise Him for His faithfulness. Chris, Amy, welcome to Peru, and may God richly bless each of you as you serve Him here in the Amazon Rainforest.
